1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the EduMatch Hub website, platform and services (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using EduMatch Hub, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

In these Terms, “EduMatch Hub”, “we”, “us” or “our” refers to the EduMatch Hub platform, and “you” or “your” refers to any user of our Services, including learners, parents, guardians, teachers, tutors, coaches and instructors.

2. Who May Use the Services

You must be at least 18 years of age, or accessing the Services through a parent or legal guardian, to use EduMatch Hub.

By using the Services, you represent that you have the legal capacity and authority to enter into these Terms, and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

Parents or guardians who use the Services on behalf of a child or learner are responsible for the activity of that child and for any commitments entered into through EduMatch Hub.

3. The EduMatch Hub Service

EduMatch Hub is a listing and matching service that connects learners and parents with educators, including tutors, coaches and instructors, across academic, sports, music and other subjects.

We provide a platform for educators to list their profiles and for learners or parents to search, enquire about, and request educators.

EduMatch Hub acts as an introducer and platform provider. We are not a party to any agreement, arrangement or transaction between a learner or parent and an educator, and we do not employ or contract educators directly.

4. Educator Listings

Educators may register and create a profile on EduMatch Hub. All educator listings are subject to review and approval by EduMatch Hub before they are published.

Educators are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided in their listings, including qualifications, experience, availability, rates and location.

EduMatch Hub reserves the right to approve, reject, edit, suspend or remove any listing at any time, with or without notice, where we consider it inaccurate, misleading, inappropriate or otherwise in breach of these Terms.

The display of an educator listing does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee by EduMatch Hub of that educator’s qualifications, character, suitability or performance.

5. Enquiries and Requests

Learners and parents may submit enquiries or requests to EduMatch Hub or directly to an educator through the platform.

By submitting an enquiry or request, you consent to EduMatch Hub sharing relevant information with the educator for the purpose of facilitating a potential match.

EduMatch Hub may display certain assignment details publicly. Where applicable, sensitive information such as unit numbers and applicant contact details will be kept confidential and accessible only to EduMatch Hub administrators.

6. Matching, Assignments and Fees

EduMatch Hub facilitates the matching of educators to assignments and enquiries. A “match” occurs when an educator and a learner or parent agree to proceed with lessons or services.

Any fees, rates, schedules and other terms of engagement are agreed directly between the educator and the learner or parent. EduMatch Hub does not determine or guarantee the terms of any such arrangement.

Where EduMatch Hub charges any platform or service fee, this will be communicated to you separately. Unless otherwise stated in writing, fees for lessons or services are payable directly between the parties.

EduMatch Hub is not responsible for the collection, payment, refund or dispute of any fees between educators and learners or parents.

7. Conduct and Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for any unlawful, fraudulent, harmful or abusive purpose
• Provide false, misleading or inaccurate information
• Misrepresent your qualifications, identity or experience
• Harass, threaten or harm another user or EduMatch Hub staff
• Use another user’s account or share your account in an insecure manner
• Attempt to access, disrupt or interfere with the security or operation of the platform
• Scrape, copy or redistribute content from EduMatch Hub without our permission
• Use the Services to bypass EduMatch Hub to avoid any applicable platform fees
• Infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others

You are solely responsible for your conduct and communications on or through EduMatch Hub.

8. Verifications and Background

EduMatch Hub may carry out basic checks or request supporting documents from educators, but we do not perform comprehensive background or criminal record checks unless expressly stated.

Educators are responsible for ensuring they hold any required qualifications, certifications, licences or approvals to provide the services they offer.

Learners and parents are encouraged to make their own enquiries and assessments before engaging an educator, including requesting verification of qualifications and references where appropriate.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use and protect personal information.

By using EduMatch Hub, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy, available on our website.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on EduMatch Hub, including text, graphics, logos, designs and software, is owned by or licensed to EduMatch Hub and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute or otherwise use any EduMatch Hub content without our prior written consent, except as necessary to use the Services.

Educators retain ownership of the information and materials they submit for their listings, and grant EduMatch Hub a licence to display that content on the platform for the purpose of providing the Services.

11. Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

EduMatch Hub does not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure or that any match will be successful or suitable.

We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, accuracy or reliability of any educator, learner or arrangement made through EduMatch Hub.

Any reliance on information or matches obtained through EduMatch Hub is at your own risk.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EduMatch Hub, its officers, employees, agents and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of income, opportunity, data or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Services.

EduMatch Hub shall not be liable for the acts, omissions, conduct or performance of any educator, learner or parent, or for any dispute or transaction between users.

You agree to hold EduMatch Hub harmless from any claim, demand, loss or damage arising out of your use of the Services or your interactions with other users.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and keep indemnified EduMatch Hub against any loss, claim, damage, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

14. Accounts and Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time.

EduMatch Hub may suspend, restrict or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, where we consider it necessary to protect the platform, other users or ourselves.

Upon termination, any rights granted to you under these Terms will cease, and you must stop using the Services.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, legal requirements or operational practices.

When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

Continued use of the Services after changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore.

You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore in respect of any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
